As a child, he would gather in the small room at night and light a candle. He would watch the fire flicker and crack through the night air, slowly burning away the candle wax that would turn into a dark brown and drip down. In times of lucidity, the candle wax seemed to be alive. The boy would grasp the melting candle and think of the fire and the wax that lives.
One must imagine her lonely, drifting in orbit, seeing everything that she could ever see, having the greatest fill of the moments, the life and the vistas, but never being there to visit them for herself. After all, she was just a satellite, meant only to watch and find… but still… it would be nice.
